  Migraine With Aura Diagnostic Criteria

 

Diagnostic: 4 Group A Criteria and 2 Group B Criteria
 

 
Group A
      At least 2 headache attacks by history
      Fully reversible visual or sensory or speech symptoms, and no motor weakness
      Headache also meets criteria for migraine without aura, beginning within 0-60 minutes of aura
      No other disease present that might cause headache or neurologic / visual changes

 
Group B
      Unilateral headache location
      At least 1 symptom that develops gradually (>5 min) or a variety of symptoms occurring in a sequence
      Various symptoms last between 5-60 minutes
