This calculator evaluates the following Clinical Criteria:
- Heart failure
- Respiratory failure
- Recent (<3 months) stroke
- Recent (<4 weeks) myocardial infarction
- Acute infectious disease
- Acute rheumatic disease
- Active cancer
- Myeloproliferative disorder
- Nephrotic syndrome
- Prior venous thromboembolic disease
- Known hypercoagulable state
- Immobilization (>3 days)
- Recent travel (>6 hours duration)
- Age >60 years
- Body mass index (BMI) >30 kg/m2
- Chronic venous insufficiency
- Pregnancy
- Hormonal therapy (estrogenic hormones)
- Dehydration
