This calculator evaluates the following Clinical Criteria:
- Hypoxia (PaO2 <60 mmHg and FiO2 >40%)
- CNS depression
- Petechiae
- Tachycardia (HR >120 beats per minute)
- Pyrexia (Temp >39 degrees C)
- Thrombocytopenia (Platelet count <150K)
- Fat globules in the urine or sputum
- Retinal emboli
- Decline in hemotocrit not due to blood loss or IV hydration
