- More than 10% weight loss over 6 months
- History of COPD
- General anesthetic used
- Sensorium impairment
- History of CVA
- More than 4 units blood transfusion
- Emergency operation
- History of chronic corticosteroid use
- History of smoking within 1 year
- History of alcohol use, more than 2 drinks a day with last 2 weeks
- Surgery type
- Patient age group
- Functional status
- BUN concentration
