Group A
      Elevated RBC mass: Females: ≥32 mL/kg or Males: ≥36 mL/kg
      Arterial O2 saturation ≥92%

 
Group B
      Splenomegaly

 
Group C
      Platelet count >400,000/microL
      WBC count >12,000/microL in the absence of fever or infection
      Leukocyte alkaline phosphatase (LAP) score >100 in the absence of fever or infection
      B12 >900 pg/mL or serum unbound B12-binding capacity >2200 pg/mL
