Systemic Lupus Erythematosus American Rheumatism Association 11 Criteria (1997 update) is available in

This calculator evaluates the following Clinical Criteria:
- Red rash facial cheeks and nasal bridge
- Red, scaly rash on the face, scalp, ears, arms or chest, possible atrophic scarring
- Photosensitive rash
- Small ulcers on mucosal linings, nose or mouth
- Pain in the joints of the hands, arms, shoulders, hips, legs, feet or jaw, sometimes migratory, associated with heat, redness and swelling
- Pleurisy, pericarditis, possibly aseptic peritonitis
- Elevated protein and/or cellular casts in the urine: >0.5 gm proteinuria / day or >3+ protein on dip stick
- Seizures or psychosis
- Cytopenia, hemolytic anemia, WBC <4000, plt <100K, lymphs <1500
- Immunologic positive anti-DNA test, anti-Sm, anticardiolipin antibodies, lupus anticoagulant or false-positive test for syphilis (positive at least 6 months)
- Antinuclear antibody (ANA) Positive in the absence of drugs know to induce ANA's
