Input

Glasgow Coma Score
Systolic BP
Respiratory Rate

Results

Important: Inputs must be complete to perform calculation.

Include literature references: Yes   No

Equations used

qSOFAScore = gcsp + rrp + sysbpp

Calculation Details and Variables
  • *A Glasgow coma scale score of 15 requires all the following: Spontaneous eye opening; accurate orientation to person, place, and time; and appropriate motor responses to commands. If this score is less than 15 gcsp is set to 1.
  • For this calculation, rrp = 1 when the respiratory rate is ≥22 breaths/min, and 0 for slower rates.
  • sysbpp is set to 1 when the systolic blood pressure is ≤100 mmHg, and 0 for higher blood pressures.
